Proposed Itinerary

DAY 1

  • Depart Kathmandu sharp 6:30 AM

  • Breakfast Enroute around 8:00 AM

  • Stop at Balefi twin river crossing for photo opp.

  • Enroute Lunch at around 12:30 PM

  • Stop at Kharidhunga at 2400 meters, the mountains are clear from here during October through March. Known for Slate Utensils.

  • Stop at Shiva Pokhari for another photo opp.

  • Reach Jiri Camp - Late Afternoon - Snacks - Rest

  • Quiet Dinner

DAY 2

  • Depart Jiri Camp after breakfast for a hike day

  • Hike to Hanumante Danda - 360 degree view of the Khawa Valley till Ramechap

  • Hanumante Mahadev

  • Enroute Lunch

  • Khawa View point and picnic spot

  • Reach Jiri Camp - evening tea and snacks

  • Dinner at the camp

DAY 3

  • Depart Jiri Camp after breakfast for a Golden Circle of Jiri

  • Drive from Dolakha towards Ramechap district. Halt at Kune Village for a birds eye view of Jiri. Drive along Shivalaya, the trek route followed by Edmund Hillary and Tenjing Sherpa on their quest for Everest.

  • Stop at Meletar for a wonderful riverside plateau for photo opp

  • Enroute lunch

  • Pompa stone park

  • Yelung Monastery

  • Reach Jiri Camp - evening tea and snacks

  • Sherpa cultural exhibition

  • Bonfire dinner at the camp

DAY 4

  • Depart Jiri camp after breakfast for highlights of Jiri Buddha Park for a birds eye view of Jiri

  • Sahid Smriti School - this school was constructed for the orphan children of Nepal's maoist conflict. (interaction with the students) Enroute lunch

  • Tenjing Sherpa and Edmund Hillary Park.

  • Animal farm - cow breeding

  • Jiri Airfield - now turned into a playing field (outdoor game arrangement)

  • Reach Jiri camp - evening tea and snacks

  • Campfire, music & dance at the camp followed by dinner

DAY 5

  • Depart Jiri camp early for Charikot and on to Kuri village.

  • Enroute breakfast around 8:00 am

  • Cable car to Kalinchok temple

  • Enroute lunch around 12:00 pm

  • Return to Charikot and drive to KTM.

  • Enroute evening snacks around 3:00 pm

  • Arrive in Kathmandu in the evening.
